Resizing images Print

Is hitting your bandwidth limit an ongoing problem? Part of the cause could be the size of your images.

When you upload an image, is it really big and then you resize it to fit? Bingo! Because when someone views the resized image on your blog they still are sent the full size, it just appears smaller on the screen. That's where much of your bandwidth may be going.  But worse than that, it makes page loading much slower.

Ideally you should either have a thumbnail that links to the bigger image - how to do that is beyond the scope of this article, it will be dependent on your theme.

Or you should resize your images to fit the space. There are a couple of ways to do this:

If you use windows check this out https://www.bricelam.net/ImageResizer/, it is what I use.

Or you can do it online.
